Timber House
This new home built in the Sugar Bowl ski resort had many exciting features to build and materials made from renewable resources. The entire first floor is constructed of sandblasted board-formed concrete. Giant roof trusses were built on site with 22”x26” Douglas fir timbers. All the cabinets are made from redwood wine tank staves and the countertops are made from turn of the century Union Pacific train car decking.
